Cornell University is a private research institution that is part of the Ivy League and is referred as a land-grant university, located in Ithaca, New York, United States. The university was established in 1865 through the joint efforts of American philanthropist Ezra Cornell and historian and educator Andrew Dickson White. Since its inception, Cornell University has maintained its status as a co-educational and nonsectarian institution. As of the fall semester in 2024, the student population comprised 16,128 undergraduate students and 10,665 graduate students hailing from all 50 states in the U.S. and 130 different countries.

Cornell University is structured into eight undergraduate colleges and seven graduate divisions, all located on its main campus in Ithaca.
