Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University Lucknow (ABVMU Lucknow) is a state-run institution governed by the state government. This affiliating university is situated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, specifically in the city of Chak Ganjria. It grants affiliation to all government and private medical, dental, paramedical, and nursing colleges throughout Uttar Pradesh. Established under Uttar Pradesh Act No. 42 in 2018, the year 2020 is recognized as its foundation year, marked by the appointment of its inaugural vice-chancellor.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University: Highlights

The flagship programs at ABVMU include MBBS, BDS, MDS and B.Sc Nursing. Admission to MBBS, BDS and MDS programs is based on the basis of merit in the NEET UG and NEET MDS examinations respectively. The university conducts the Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET) for admission to B.Sc Nursing, P.B.B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing courses, as well as the Common Paramedical Entrance Test (CPET) for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) paramedical programs.
