NLU Kochi

NLU Kochi: The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, was founded in 2005. It’s a state university, approved by UGC (Universal Grants Commission). The NLU Kochi is also a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

The NLU Kochi has been established under an act of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. The university offers UG, PG and Doctoral degrees. It is considered as top ranked university with significant infrastructure and educational programs.

The major courses offered here are BA LLB, LLM, and PhD. The NLU Kochi is mainly known for Law programs. The state university is BCI-accredited. 

NLU Kochi: Admission Process

The admission in the Law program is based on the entrance exam – CLAT UG and CLAT PG.  For UG programs, students must have secured 45% in boards to be eligible for CLAT UG. For PG programs, students must have secured 50% in Graduation.

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, has been ranked 38th among the law universities in India by NIRF 2024.

NLU Kochi, Campus Facilities

The NLU Kochi campus is spread over a 10-acre campus. Facilities such as Moot court halls, student hostels, libraries, seminar halls, and medical centres are also provided. There are workshops conducted, too. Recreation facilities, a bank and ATM and a fully WI-FI campus are provided to students.

NLU Kochi, Placements

There is a placement cell for successful placements of students. The NUALs Placement Committee is managed by students. The organisation manages the meetings, contact with the companies, and legal organisations interested in placements.
