BITS Pilani stands as a prestigious engineering institute in India. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (also known as BITS Pilani) is a deemed university. BITS Pilani was established in 1964 and BITS is a higher education and research university. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is renowned for its engineering, sciences, management, and humanities programs.

BITS Pilani offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines including Engineering, Sciences, Pharmacy, Management, and Humanities. It's known for its rigorous academics, strong faculty, and vibrant campus life. The institute also encourages research and innovation, with numerous research centers and labs across its campuses. The university is one of the first six institutions to receive the status of 'Institution of Excellence'. Along with BITS Pilani in Dubai, the institute becomes the first internationally deemed university. With 4 established campuses, the university has 15 academic departments in science, engineering, management and research.

The institute also has 9 different centers for Software Development, Robotics, Women's Studies and Desert Development Technologies. BITSAT (BITS Entrance Test), an all India computerized entrance test, is administered by BITS.
