Established in 1992, the Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IIAE) in Dehradun is a renowned college specializing in aircraft engineering. It is affiliated with the University of America (USA) and is approved by OTHM (UK) for Endorsed Learning Programme.IAE Dehradun offers Bachelors's (Level 6) and IHD programs (Level 5) in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering which provide students with balanced theoretical as well as practical knowledge.

The IIAE curriculum provides students with a good understanding of aviation and aerospace education. The IIAE program enhances students' knowledge in the areas of aircraft design, aerodynamics, aircraft structures, airplane propulsion, flight dynamics and controls, aircraft materials, avionics and aviation business.
