Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, formerly U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is a medical school, hospital and medical research public university located in Saifai, Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It came into existence after the upgradation of UP Rural Medical Sciences and Research Institute by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under Act 15 of 2016.

It was established by UPRIMS&R, SAIFAI, Act 2005 notified on 15 December 2005. M.B.B.S. course started in 2006, M.D. course started in 2011, while the M.S. courses began in 2013 and MDS courses began in 2014. The institute's paramedical and nursing colleges started diploma and graduate degree courses in 2012.
In February 2015, the Government of Uttar Pradesh initiated the process of establishing a University of Medical Sciences at Saifai, Etawah by upgrading the existing U.P. Rural Medical Sciences and Research Institute. The bill titled "Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, Etawah Bill-2015" was passed by the state assembly on 4 February 2015. The bill was approved on 2 May 2016 and it became a university on 5 June 2016.
After becoming a university, M.Ch. courses started in 2020
and from the academic year 2023, the university started Paramedical Master's
degree.
