NIT Warangal

The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, Warangal (RE:CW), is a prestigious public technical university located in Warangal, Telangana, India. It was established in 1959 as the Regional Engineering College, Warangal, and was upgraded to National Institute of Technology status in 2002.

NIT Warangal: Highlights

Admission to Bachelor of Technology for Indian students is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main). Foreign students are accepted through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) and ICCR schemes. MTech students are admitted through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

MCA students are admitted through NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET). Admission to MBA program is based on the scores of Common Admission Test (CAT) or Management Aptitude Test (MAT) and shortlisted candidates have to undergo group discussion or personal interview for final selection. MSc and MSc (Tech) students are admitted through Joint Admission Examination (JAM) for Masters.

Admission to various MSc courses is also done on the basis of scores obtained in Joint Admission Examination (JAM) for MSc through CCMN.
