Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), formerly known as Manipal University, is a prestigious private deemed-to-be university established in 1953 in Manipal, Karnataka. Recognized as an Institution of Eminence by the Government of India, MAHE offers a diverse range of programs across various disciplines.

The university is accredited A++ by NAAC and offers more than 300 programmes to students. Further, MAHE has off-campuses in Mangaluru, Bengaluru, and Jamshedpur, as well as an offshore campus in Dubai (UAE). Manipal University Karnataka is ranked 4th and 56th under the 'Universities' and 'Engineering' categories by the NIRF 2024. The University is home to over 35,000 students and has over 9,000 supporting services.

Through various colleges and departments, the deemed university offers UG, PG, PhD, and other courses to students across the Medicine, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Management, Arts, Science, Commerce, and other streams. MAHE Manipal admission to a few courses is merit-based while for others, entrance exam score is considered. MAHE Manipal Karnataka is ISO certified and has also been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has also been ranked in the range of 901-950 by QS World University Rankings 2025.
