Gujarat National Law University

The Government of India established Gujarat National Law University as one of the NLUs. The university was established in the year 2003 by the Government of Gujarat. Established in 2003 under the GNLU Act, it is a public law school. The university offers UG programs under five streams, PG programs in 10 specializations and PhD programs in law and interdisciplinary.

The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) (2F and 12B). GNLU Gandhinagar has been accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade. The university has an excellent faculty-student ratio of 1:19. 79% of the faculty members at the university have PhD degrees. Every year, around 1,000 students take admission in the university and 44% of them are female students.

GNLU Gandhinagar courses include B.A.LL.B, B.B.A LL.B, B.Com LL.B, P.G.D, LL.M., M.B.A and many more. Before applying for admission candidates must satisfy the GNLU Gandhinagar eligibility criteria for the desired course. Apart from this, the campus area of ​​the university is spread over 50.64 acres, which houses library, internet, lab, moot court hall, auditorium and many other basic facilities. The university has 12 research centers with approximately 60 teaching and research faculty members.

Before applying for GNLU admission a candidate must appear for the appropriate entrance examination which includes CLAT/CAT/CMAT/MAT examination. GNLU Gandhinagar admissions are based on the qualifying marks obtained in the entrance examination and previous academic marks. Candidates must meet the GNLU Gandhinagar cutoff to proceed to the next stage of the admission process.

Every year, the university spends approximately Rs 2 crore in providing scholarships/financial aid to its students. Excluding degree programmes, the university offers nine different chair/fellowship programs in the field of law. The university runs student exchange programs with over 30 top foreign universities.
