The Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business
Management (IISWBM), established in 1953, is the first business school in India
to offer an MBA degree. Established by the Senate of the University of
Calcutta, the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management
(IISMBM) is a private institute located in Kolkata, West Bengal.
The institute is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the
University of Calcutta. It offers several postgraduate programs, certificate
and doctoral programs in management. Admission for all these courses is based
on national level examinations like CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA and Group
Discussion Personal Interview (GDPI) which is conducted by the institute. On
the recreational front, IISWBM has a Student Activities Center where students
can exchange ideas and participate in a number of activities.
The faculty members at IISWBM are instrumental in ensuring
