Great Lakes was set up in 2004 by Bala Balachandran, J.L.
Kellogg Distinguished Professor of Accounting and Information Management at
Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. Following the
establishment of Indian School of Business (ISB), Balachandran wanted to
establish a business school in his home state of Tamil Nadu, and set up the
Great Lakes Institute of Management in the capital city of Chennai with a model
similar to the ISB involving a one-year MBA programme, global visiting faculty
and international academic collaborations. Since 2012, Great Lakes has also
started offering the traditional two-year PGDM programme.
Established in 2010, Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) Gurgaon is a private B-School spread over an area of 7.5 acres. It is commonly known as Great Lakes Gurgaon. Great Lakes Gurgaon is accredited by AMBA, NBA, and approved by AICTE and AIU.
Great Lakes Gurgaon has secured the 62nd position in the management category, according to the NIRF ranking for 2023. Great Lakes Institute of Management offers a one-year fast-track MBA program (PGPM) and a two-year PGDM full-time program in the management stream through its Gurgaon and Chennai campuses. The college also offers international immersion programs to students.
Valid test scores of CAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT are considered for admission to Great Lakes Gurgaon PGDM and PGPM programs. The average salary package in Great Lakes Gurgaon for PGPM batch 2022-23 saw a jump in the average CTC compared to the previous year. The average CTC of the PGPM 2022-23 batch is Rs 15.80 lakh, while the highest domestic CTC is Rs 33.30 lakh.
