Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirappalli
(known by its acronym (BIM Trichy) is a business school established in 1984 in
Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India. The school offers full-time MBA programmes, doctoral
programs and several executive education programs approved by AICTE. Since its
inception, the college has often been ranked among the renowned business schools of the country.
BIM has pioneered the concept of a business school linked to
industry through its symbiotic relationship with BHEL since its inception in
1984. Senior officers of Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) conduct courses
specifically in the areas of operations, management and systems.
BIM conducts several executive development programs for BHEL
in the areas of corporate finance, marketing and organizational behaviour. Students
also undertake various projects provided by BHEL in many functional areas of
management.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has tied up with
Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli or (BIM Trichy) to
develop systems and methodologies to find solutions to the problems faced by
small scale industries.
