PEC Chandigarh

PEC Chandigarh: Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) also known as PEC Chandigarh was established in 1921 and is affiliated to Punjab University. With a sprawling campus spread across 146 acres, the university is a grant-in-aid program administered by the Union Territory of Chandigarh, Government of India. Punjab Engineering College offers 8 undergraduate B.Tech programs and 14 postgraduate MTech programs in various disciplines of engineering and technology.

After becoming a university, the institute has also started PhD programs in various disciplines of engineering, science, management, humanities and social sciences. Admission to UG and PG programs is done through national level examinations such as JEE (Mains) and GATE respectively. There are nine academic departments and two centres of excellence.

The faculty of the academic departments and centers are involved in cutting-edge research and development work. Punjab Engineering College collaborates very closely with research organizations, industries, alumni and other academic institutions in India and abroad and has signed MoUs to pursue joint research in various fields. Students graduating from this institute get jobs in highly reputed companies.
