Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Center, Pune came into existence in the year 1996.This is Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, a part of Pune, is recognized as a deemed university. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) are the initial undergraduate medical degrees offered by the institute. After completing residential training, doctors can pursue further specialization through postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Master of Surgery (M.S.) degrees.

Ph.D The program typically lasts a minimum of 3 years, including coursework, and can be extended to a maximum of 6 years. The MSc degree is obtained after three years of advanced training as a senior resident. Super Specialty qualifications are obtained after three years of additional specialized training.
