The Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University, also known as PUMBA Pune, was established in 1971. It is one of the
first and leading management institutes in India. The institute offers several
programs including BBA (Hospitality), MBA, MBA (Pharma Biotech), Executive MBA
and PhD. PUMBA was accredited with Institutional Grade A with five stars, making
it one of the very few universities in the country to be so accredited.
Situated amidst the lush green surroundings of 414 acres of Savitribai Phule Pune University, the institute provides the perfect environment to develop holistic managerial capabilities. PUMBA became fully autonomous in the year 2004 and introduced a strict quarter-based curriculum along with an integrated internship experience and changes in the evaluation system.
