The Department of Commerce under the Delhi School of Economics (DSE) was established in 1949 as a center of excellence and advanced teaching and research in the social sciences. Located in Delhi, through three departments, the college offers PG and PhD courses in Management and Commerce. Streams DSE Delhi is affiliated with University of Delhi which is approved by UGC.

It offers several PG and doctoral programmes, including M.Com., MBA (International Business), MBA (HRD), MBA (Business Analytics, starting in 2023-24), M.Phil., and Ph.D. MBA is its flagship course. Admissions are offered through CUET-UG (for integrated programmes), CAT (for MBA), and DUET or merit (for M.Com. and Ph.D.). Candidates for MBA programmes are usually required to score 90 to 93 percentile in the CAT exam before being selected through GD-PI.
