Institute of Law Nirma University

The Institute of Law is a constituent institute of Nirma University located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It was established in 2007 on the vision of Padmashree Dr Karsanbhai K Patel. According to NIRF 2023 rankings, ILNU has been ranked 27th in the law category. It is ranked 7th for Law by Outlook and 16th for Law by India Today in 2019.

It provides quality legal education and has over the years produced a new generation of lawyers, leaders and policy makers adopting the principles of justice education, excellence and professionalism. The institute is also accredited by NAAC with A+ grade.

It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in the fields of law, humanities and social sciences, accounting and commerce. Padmashree Dr. Karsanbhai K. Established on the vision of Patel, the Institute of Law, Nirma University is engrossed in offering various law courses at UG, PG, PhD and Executive Diploma levels.

The institute offers part-time and full-time PhD courses. The undergraduate program is offered in two five-year integrated courses BA LLB (Hons) and B.Com LLB (Hons). LLM courses are offered in specializations such as Constitutional and Administrative Law and Criminal and Security Law. PhD programs in three specializations namely Constitutional Law, Human Rights Law and Criminal Law are offered by the institute.

ILNU Ahmedabad UG & PG admission is based on CLAT UG & CLAT PG exam score. Whereas ILNU Ahmedabad PhD admissions are based on written/entrance examination conducted by the institute. ILNU Ahmedabad Scholarships are available to deserving students based on their academic performance. Institute of Law, Nirma University helps students to join top organizations by conducting campus placements every year.
