Symbiosis International University (Deemed University) is a diverse institution that provides a dynamic educational environment focused on multicultural and innovative principles for both students and faculty. Symbiosis was founded in 1971 by Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar to be a 'home away from home' for international students.

The institution is based on the principles of the Vedic idea of ​​"The World is One Family". The name of the University aptly reflects the essence of the relationship it shares with international students; a mutually beneficial bond between India and the international student community.
