The Department of Business Economics (DBE), located in New Delhi, was established in 1973 and is one of the top ranked MBA colleges in North India. The department has been portraying exceptional knowledge and teaching delivery since its inception. The flagship business program of this elite business school is a two-year full-time MBA in Business Economics with specialization in Finance, Economics and Marketing.

DBE DU offers M.Phil and Ph.D. Programs in which admission is done as per the rules of Delhi University. Students applying for MBA at DBE DU must have valid and eligible CAT scores to get admission. To gain admission to MPhil and PhD level programmes, the department follows the admission process of DU.

The institute concluded its 2023 placement drive with students getting an average salary package of Rs 11.97 LPA, while the highest placement package was Rs 21.50 LPA. Cognizant, CRISIL, Infosys, Decathlon, Deloitte, Barclays etc. were the major recruiters in DBE.'
