Established in 1961 in New Delhi, India, Sri Venkateswara
College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. It is managed by
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and degrees are awarded under the ambit of the
University of Delhi. The college offers courses at both undergraduate level and
postgraduate level.
Vocational courses and short-term add-on courses that serve
as important supplements to the academic profile of students are offered by the
college. Admission is done entirely on the basis of merit and as per the norms
of Delhi University. It has been ranked 14th among colleges in India by NIRF,
2022. Subsequently, Outlook in 2021 has ranked it: 6th in Humanities stream,
9th in Science stream and 13th in Commerce stream.
Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of CUET score
after e-counselling. To be eligible for UG courses, candidates must have passed
class 10th and 12th with 50 percent marks in aggregate. Programme-specific
eligibility criteria vary by course. The marks obtained by the candidate in
CUET will be considered for calculating the total marks as per
programme-specific combinations of subjects for deciding merit and granting
admission to undergraduate programmes.
