will soon start KCET counselling. KEA delayed the web-based option entry
process for all eligible candidates. The choice filling will start soon.
3,09,014 candidates appeared for the exam, and 2,92,782 secured a rank, qualifying them to participate in the choice-filling phase. What is KCET?
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (also known as KCET) is
conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). It is held for
admission to undergraduate (UG) programs, such as engineering, pharmacy,
agriculture, and other professional courses—in colleges across Karnataka. This
exam is also referred to as UGCET.
Students seeking admission to medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani, or homoeopathy courses must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Meanwhile, students wishing to secure admission to architecture courses through KCET must qualify for JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA to participate in the KCET counselling process.
KCET 2026 Exam Dates and Schedule
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) successfully conducted the KCET 2026 exams on April 23 and 24, 2026. The mandatory Kannada language test was held on April 22, 2026. Subsequently, the results and answer keys have been released, and the counselling process is underway in June.
