NEET PG Counselling 2026: On September 24, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the NEET PG 2026 results. Successful candidates can now take part in the NEET PG counselling for admission into MD, MS, Diplomate of National Board (DNB), and other postgraduate medical programs for the 2026-27 academic year.

NEET PG 2026 counselling for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate medical seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) as part of the seat allotment process. This will additionally encompass 100% of the seats in deemed universities, 100% of the seats in select central universities and institutes, along with other categories that fall under the MCC counselling process.

NEET PG Counselling 2026: State Counselling

State-level counselling authorities will manage the counselling for their respective state quota seats. Any candidate aspiring to join the NEET PG counselling must complete their registration on the official MCC counselling portal. The official MCC notification will contain all details concerning registration dates, fees, and the application process.

Documents Required for NEET PG Counselling 2026

Candidates should keep their NEET PG 2026 scorecard, admit card and related documents ready before they start the counselling registration and reporting process after the seat allotment. Candidates will be required to present all original documents for verification at the time of admission.

These documents may include:

> NEET PG 2026 scorecard or rank details

> NEET PG 2026 admit card

> MBBS degree or provisional degree certificate

> MBBS mark sheets

> Internship completion certificate

> Permanent or provisional medical registration certificate

> Valid government-issued photo ID

> Proof of date of birth

> Recent passport-sized photograph

> Category certificate (where applicable)

> PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) certificate (where applicable)

> NRI (Non-Resident Indian) related documents (where applicable)

> Other documents specified by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) or the allotted college/university

Candidates belonging to reserved, PwBD, and NRI categories should ensure that their certificates and necessary documents are valid and available before counselling.

NEET PG Counselling 2026: Choice Filling

During the choice-filling process, applicants can choose their preferred medical colleges and postgraduate courses, and they must also organise these choices in order of preference.

Once the choice-filling process is complete, candidates must lock their choices within the stipulated timeframe. Subsequently, the MCC will process these options before releasing the seat allotment results.
