MBBS in West Bengal: Admission to MBBS or BDS course in government and private medical colleges in West Bengal is based on NEET exam score. The total number of MBBS seats in West Bengal is 5650, out of which students with NEET cut-off percentile above 50th will compete for 3850 government medical college seats in West Bengal. To avoid tough competition in government medical colleges in West Bengal, students can also opt for top private medical colleges in West Bengal. There are only 11 private colleges in West Bengal that offer 1800 MBBS seats.

NEET UG 2025 exam results will be declared by the 14 June 2025 (Declared). The admission process for MBBS or BDS courses in West Bengal is conducted through NEET counselling (15% seats through All India quota and 85% through state quota in government medical colleges). The NEET counselling session for West Bengal MBBS admission will begin by July 2025 (date not announced). After the NEET result students can apply for either 15% All India quota seats or 85% state quota seats depending on their domicile status and other eligibility requirements. The NEET counselling registration fee for West Bengal MBBS admission is ₹2000 for general students and ₹1500 for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
