VITEEE 2026 Entrance Exam

The registration for VITEEE 2026 has already begun. Students who want to appear for the VITEEE Entrance exam can now fill the application form through the activated link on the official portal, viteee.vit.ac.in.

The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the entrance exam, VITEEE, to accept qualified students for admission in B.Tech programmes. Established in 1984, VIT is a private, deemed university with more than 2 lakh students studying in VIT campuses. VIT’s main campus is situated in Vellore, while the other 3 campuses are situated in Chennai, Bhopal and Amravati (Andhra Pradesh).  

The VITEEE entrance examination is conducted every year. The examination conducting body is VIT Vellore. The mode of examination is online. 

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria: For VITEEE 2026, the student must fulfil the following eligibility criteria, 

+ Student’s date of birth should be on/after July 1st 2024. 

+ Student must have passed 10+2 with subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. 

+ Minimum Aggregate in 12th subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology) must be 60%. For reserved candidates, the minimum aggregate must be 50%.

+ Student must be a resident of India. 

VITEEE 2026: Exam Pattern 

The VITEEE 2026 exam is conducted in online mode. The exam comprises 5 sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Aptitude. It consists of Multiple Choice Questions. The Physics paper consists of 35 questions, the Chemistry paper consists of 35 questions, the Mathematics paper consists of 40 questions, the English paper consists of 5 questions, and the Aptitude paper consists of 10 questions. The examination is conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test). The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each correct answer is rewarded with +4 marks. Each incorrect answer gets -1 mark. 

The VIT Examination is conducted across 130 cities in India and 9 cities in foreign countries. Students should choose one city option as their exam centre. The exam centre will be allocated to the candidate. The last date for completing and submitting the application form is 31st March 2026. The slot booking will start from April 2026. 

The VITEEE Exam dates will tentatively fall on 28th April 2026 to 3rd May 2026. The expected result dates will be the second week of May 2026. The counselling would start tentatively from the second week of May 2026.
