The number of applications for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
2024 has increased from 96,438 last year to 1.35 lakh this year. While during
the pandemic, applications for the entrance exam saw a decline around 79,843 in
2021. However there has been a steady
increase since last year.
This examination is conducted for admission to XLRI Jamshedpur and XLRI Delhi NCR and more than 150 B-Schools.
According to exam coordinator Dr Rahul Shukla, the increase in registrations is due to their effective outreach and promotion of diversity. An organized campaign supported by partner business schools effectively communicated to candidates the benefits and importance of taking the Xavier Aptitude Test.
The inclusive design of XAT has encouraged a wide range of candidates to participate,” he said.
Moreover, 34 percent of the candidates registered in XAT 2024 are engineers, and 37 percent of the candidates are women. Xavier Aptitude Test 2024 date is scheduled for January 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, registrations for the Common Admission Test (CAT) have also increased. According to IIM Lucknow, there has been a 30 percent increase in registration compared to last year. Last year there was an 11 percent increase in registration.
