Nationally, candidates take the Central University Entrance
Test (CUET) for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and research program
courses. For admission into best universities in India, NTA conducts CUET, also
known as Common University Entrance Examination, once a year. The first and
foremost advantage of taking CUET is that it enables admission into many
central universities without the need to take subject-specific exams. There are
around 25 top universities in India, out of which 16 are owned by the
government and the remaining 9 colleges are owned by private entities.
