Swami Vivekananda Scholarship: The Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM) is a scholarship scheme offered by the Government of West Bengal. It is designed for students who achieve good academic results but belong to families with low annual incomes. The SVMCM scheme covers a wide range of courses. Students in classes 11 and 12 are eligible to apply, as are students pursuing Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Engineering, Medical, Polytechnic, and Research Programs.

The monthly scholarship amount ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹8,000. The exact amount depends on the specific course and the directorate administering it. For most applicants, the annual family income limit is ₹2,50,000. Applications must be submitted online at svmcm.wb.gov.in. How to Apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2026-27

Students are invited to apply their applications online for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM 2026-27) through the official website-svmcm.wbhed.gov.in. The comprehensive SVMCM Application Process for 2026-27, along with the schedule for online applications, is provided below.

SVMCM Application Process:

Students have to go through the SVMCM Scholarship 2026-27 Application Process listed below to avail this scheme of scholarship.

A) Step 1- Applicants must complete the SVMCM 2026-27 Registration Form, which can be found on the official SVMCM Scholarship website at svmcm.wbhed.gov.in.

B) Step 2 - An Applicant ID will be generated after the submission of the (SVMCM 2026-27) Scholarship registration form for the academic year 2026-27. Use the generated application ID to log in to Swami Vivekananda Scholarship and fill out the complete SVMCM Application Form 2026-27. Also upload scanned copies of your photo and signature.

C) Step 3 - After submitting the SVMCM application form for the academic year 2026-27, a new page will appear on the screen for the upload of scanned supporting documents. Students are required to upload these documents.

D)Step 4 - After successfully uploading the required documents, view the complete application and then click on 'Submit Application' to complete the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM 2026-27) application process.

Important Note: Applicants are unable to modify their Swami Vivekananda Scholarship application form once it has been submitted. Applicants may reach out to the relevant Head of Institution or District Inspector to unlock their application form should any changes be required after the submission of the SVMCM 2026-27. After this, modifications can be made in the SVMCM Scholarship 2026-27 Application Form, and the form can be submitted again.
