IIIT colleges in India: IIIT colleges are autonomous institutes dedicated to providing technical education to students looking for engineering education focusing on information technology and communication studies. Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) have become increasingly popular among students looking for information technology programs and are considered one of the few leading colleges after the Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology.

Entrance Exams for Admission to IIITs in India

Although all IIITs are autonomous, they are linked by a common admission process. Admission to BTech programmes offered at IIITs is through the JEE Mains exam conducted by the NTA. After the NTA (National Testing Agency) came into power from 2018, the exam is conducted twice a year in January and April for admission to various IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.
