| NMAT by GMAC Update: NMAT by GMAC Exam Last Date Extended |
NMAT: Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has
started NMAT registration on mba.com. Candidates can apply for the NMAT exam till
October 10. Whereas the facility of the examination schedule is available till
October 14.
GMAC has scheduled NMAT exam dates from November 5 to
December 20 every year. Candidates seeking MBA admission in top B-schools in India or
abroad can appear for the NMAT exam three times during a testing window.
The test window for the NMAT exam has been reduced to 45 days.
The NMAT by GMAC exam is a computer-based test that assesses
a candidate's aptitude in language skills, quantitative skills, and logical reasoning.
The NMAT exam is usually held over a window of several weeks, allowing candidates to
choose a convenient date and time slot to take the exam. This format provides
flexibility for candidates to select the most suitable time for them to take
the test.
The exam pattern and structure may vary from year to year,
but typically the NMAT by GMAC exam includes sections such as:
I) Language Skills: This section evaluates a candidate's
proficiency in the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, reading
comprehension, and verbal reasoning.
II) Quantitative Skills: This section assesses a candidate's
mathematical and quantitative reasoning abilities, including topics like
arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.
III) Logical Reasoning: This section tests a candidate's ability
to analyse patterns, evaluate arguments, and solve logical puzzles.
Each section has a specific time limit, and candidates need
to manage their time effectively to answer all the questions. The exam follows
a computer-adaptive format, meaning the difficulty level of questions may
adjust based on the candidate's responses. Correct answers lead to slightly
more difficult questions, while incorrect answers lead to slightly easier
questions.
The scores obtained in the NMAT by GMAC exam are used by
NMIMS and other participating colleges to shortlist candidates for their
various management programs. Candidates who perform well in the exam increase
their chances of being offered admission to these programs.
It's important to note that specific details about the NMAT by GMAC exam, such as the exam pattern, eligibility criteria, and registration process, may change from year to year. Therefore, candidates interested in taking the exam should refer to the official NMAT by GMAC website or related sources for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
