to start the registration for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test
Undergraduate (NEET-UG) from Today, March 6, 2023. Interested and eligible
candidates can apply now at the official NTA website – neet.nta.nic.in.
Once the registration starts, candidates will have to first
visit the official website of NTA and then enter all the required personal and
educational details. After that, candidates have to upload the asked documents
and scanned images, pay the application fee and then submit the form.
Candidates are advised to download and save the application form for future
reference.
On the basis of NEET UG score, applicants are offered
admission in several governments, private colleges and deemed universities
including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Post Graduate Institute
of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC)
and others.

The NEET exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions;
each question has four options with one correct answer. The exam will be
divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and
Zoology). Each subject has 50 questions which will be divided into two sections
(A and B). The total marks for the exam is 720. Each correct answer carries
four marks and there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.
The minimum marks required to qualify for the MBBS admission
is 50 per cent for a candidate belonging to unreserved category, 45 per cent
for PWD category and 40 per cent for SC, ST and OBC.
