What is AP ECET Exam?

The AP ECET is an annual examination organized by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur, on behalf of the APSCHE. This examination aims to facilitate the admission of Diploma holders in Engineering Technology or Pharmacy, as well as BSc graduates, into the second year of BE/BTech/BPharmacy programs through the Lateral Entry Scheme at universities and institutions approved by AICTE/PCI within the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria to Appear for AP ECET 2025:

i) The candidate must be an Indian.

ii) The applicant is required to be a resident of the State of Andhra Pradesh.

iii) Additionally, they must meet the local/non-local status criteria prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Admission Regulation) Order of 1974, along with any subsequent amendments.

iv) The candidates must possess a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy from the Board of Technical Education of the State of Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent for admission to the relevant BE/BTech/BPharmacy courses into the Courses corresponding to the Diplomas.

v) They must have passed the 3-year B.Sc. degree examination with Mathematics as a subject in the group combination from a recognized University in the State or its equivalent for admission to the relevant courses.

vi) Candidates pursuing Diploma courses will be eligible for admission to the relevant BE/BTech/BPharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training prescribed for the Diploma course before admission to the college.

vii) Candidates are required to have successfully passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, or a B.Sc. Degree, achieving at least 45% marks (or 40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) to qualify for admission into the respective courses.
